On the 22nd December 2024 our beautiful ice cream-loving dancing queen niece, 4 year old Rosie Hassall, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
Rosie had been suffering from a squint and headaches for a few months. It took quite a while, and a second opinion, but she was eventually referred to paediatrics just before Christmas 2024. It turned out to be a very difficult Christmas.
She spent 8 days in Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, and had a biopsy of the tumour. In the new year, we were told that Rosie has a 6cm paediatric bithalamic glioma containing a rare genetic abnormality.
We, the family will add to this page with updates as we support Rosie and look to find people across the world who can help make her and others, well again.
