Rosie's Story

Back in January this year old little fire cracker was diagnosed with a paediatric bithalamic glioma. Which came on within a matter of weeks, only symptoms being head aches and then a delay with her right eye.

Rosie has been given a prognosis of 9-12 months. I don't believe this is the case and we will do everything in our power to find her the best care and make her better.

We have had an unbelievable amount of support locally and nationally.

Rosie's care is provided by Alderhey. She started of treatment at the Christie. We had to moved there for 6 weeks. For her to under go radiotherapy under general anaesthetic 5 days a week for 6 weeks. On top of that we provided her daily with chemo for 6 weeks. Steroids and anti sickness daily.

Since returning she has continued with her chemo. 5 days of treatment in tablet form given to her by us every 23rd day.  She is only eligible for 18 rounds of this. Next week she starts round 7.

Over the last few weeks (oct 2025) Rosies energy levels have dropped. Her balance has gone and has recently started to slur her words. This doesn't stop her. Shes a happy little 5 year who will continue to do what she wants.

Her next scan is the 15th Dec.

We want to raise awareness of Rosies condition. We want to help others and we want to get her better. Rosie has a brand new entity of this brain cancer which they're learning from her.

Our local hospital support us. Rosie ans family are under the care of the Joshua tree. We've been supported by a charity called With Love Emma whose story is heart breaking. Young lives vs cancer have had a massive impact on our lives.

We've been in local news, nation news. Granada and today (8 Oct 2025) we've done an interview with BBC stoke.
